Learn how to cover a cake drum and create a floorboard effect to the icing. Perfect to use on various cake designs. Take home what you have made.

10 Week Level 1 City & Guilds - £200

Learn to prepare and cut a cake base, use of sugarpaste, textured designs for cakes and boards and simple hand moulded shapes. This 10 week course will run on a Tuesday evening between 6.30-9.30pm. The total cost is £200 for the full 10 weeks and will be taught by a fully qualified tutor. You will be required to purchase supplies ready for your class and complete one assessment piece including folder work. Price includes verification of assessment work and certificate to show your qualification upon completion.

Wired Rose Stem with leaves - £55

Learn how to create a beautiful individual wired rose, complete with leaves on stem. Perfect to use on various cake designs. Take home what you have made.

Tuesday 18th - 18:15 - 21:15

10 Week Level 2 City & Guilds Royal Icing - £200

This 10 week course will run on a Tuesday evening between 6.15 and 9.15pm. It is subject to an interview with tutor or open to those who have already achieved a Level 1 qualification. The course will include various royal icing techniques. 

 

The total cost is £200 for the full 10 weeks and will be taught by a fully qualified tutor. You will be required to purchase supplies ready for your class and complete an assessment piece including folder work. Price includes verification of assessment work and certificate to show your qualification upon completion.

 

This is a world wide recognized qualification in working with royal icing. Students will need to complete 20 further weeks to obtain a full certificate at level 2. Students already enrolled on Level 2 will take priority with spaces.

Genoese Sponge and butter cream skills - £45

Make and bake your own genoese sponge and then decorate with butter cream skills shown to you in the class. Skills ideal to use on various cake designs. Take home what you have made.

Woodland Themed Cake - £85

Learn how to create a cake in the shape of a tree stump and create a woodland theme to decorate and finish this edible piece. Learn various techniques along the way that can be adapted to other cakes in future. This class is suitable for those who have complete Level 1 or are comfortable with cake covering and equipment.

£35 non-refundable deposit required to secure your place in advance. Please note this class will be held over 2 consecutive Mondays.  

 

Wednesday 3rd  - 18:15 - 21:15

Advanced Sugar paste Techniques - £125

Learn advanced sugar paste techniques on this 3 week course. Please note this class is only suitable for those who have completed Level 2 or are in the process of completing Level 2. 

£50 non-refundable deposit required to secure your place in advance. Please note this class will be held over 3 consecutive Wednesdays.

Christmas Themed Sugar Flowers - £100

3 Week course. Learn how to make poinsettia, holly, ivy and berries and wire into a spray to use on your own Christmas cake.   

 

£40 non-refundable deposit required to secure your place in advance. Please note this course will run on 3 consecutive Wednesday evenings.

Christmas Cupcakes - £40

Learn various decorating techniques to create 6 cupcakes with a Christmas theme.

Snow Globe Scene Cake Topper - £65

Learn how to make this fabulous snow globe cake topper which you can take away to use on your own Christmas cake.  This will involve modeling techniques and working with sugar paste. Suitable for anyone with a basic understanding of sugar craft. 

 

£25 non-refundable deposit required to secure your place in advance. Please note this course will run on 2 consecutive evenings.

Flooded Christmas Sugar Cookies - £35

Learn how to make the perfect sugar cookie and decorate your own cookies with a Christmas theme. Suitable for those with a basic knowledge or complete beginners.

Children's Cupcake Parties

  • Let you child's birthday party be different from the rest!
  • Children's Cupcake Parties are held at The Cake House in Dunstable so you don't have to clear up the mess!
  • 2hr parties where the children will make, bake and decorate their own cupcakes. Prices per child, minimum of 8 children, maximum of 12.
